Prime Minister Hun Manet said at the launch, “The aviation sector connects tourists, businesses, and political networks. It also serves multi-purpose missions. The aviation sector is a major source of national revenue. Targeted policies drive it to attract investment, strengthen diplomatic relations, and promote other destinations.” According to the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, the Techo International Airport (KTI) averaged 130 flights daily. It welcomed 15,000 passengers in its first week of operation. This marked a promising beginning as Techo International Airport opened for business.
