🌐 How to Claim Your Website on Pinterest Using a TXT Record

This method might sound technical, but it’s actually pretty straightforward with the right steps. Let’s get started!

1. Log In to Pinterest Business Account

• Go to Pinterest and log in.
• Click your profile picture (top right), then go to Settings > Claimed Accounts.
• Under Claim Website, enter your site’s domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com) and click Claim.

2. Choose the “Add TXT Record”

• Pinterest will present several verification methods—choose “Add TXT record”.
• You’ll receive a TXT record that looks something like this: pinterest-site-verification=abc123xyz456...

3. Access Your Domain’s DNS Settings

This depends on where your domain is registered. Common domain hosts include:

• GoDaddy
• Namecheap
• Google Domains
• Cloudflare
• Bluehost

To add the TXT record:

1. Log in to your domain registrar’s dashboard.
2. Locate the DNS Management or DNS Settings section.
3. Find an option to add a new record.
4. Choose TXT as the record type.
5. For the Host/Name, enter. @ (or leave blank, depending on your registrar).

4. Return to Pinterest and Confirm

• Once you’ve added the TXT record, go back to Pinterest to submit. By clicking => continue and going to the next step => Verify
• Pinterest will begin verifying your domain. You’ll receive a confirmation email or see a notification once the process is complete.

Click the Verify to Submit, done. You will get the Verification in progress from Pinterest. You have done it, just waiting for approval, don’t forget to check your email.
